The World Offroad Championship Series wrapped up Round 6 this last weekend in Toutle, WA. Bobby Bonds, the 2008 champion who apparently has switched bikes mid season this year (started out on a Honda, now on a Yamaha, and just for fun last year he was on Kawasaki!), came home with the win after trailing most of the race. KTM's Mike Brown, current points leader for this season, was leading on the last lap when a mistake cost him the winning spot, but still holds on to his points lead by regrouping and coming in 2nd place. Taylor Robert on his Kawasaki rounded out the top 3 for the day.
Fan favorite Ricky Dietrich, who raced at the High Point National MX race the day before in Pennsylvania, pulled in at 7th place, which is highly respectable given the 6th place overall at the MX race he earned and then red-eye flighting it back to WA for WORCS the next day.
Updated Pro Points:
Mike Brown - 129
Bobby Bonds - 128
Ricky Dietrich - 117
