    The way I read this, is maximum USRA payout for an Open Expert rider would be $1700. That's if you won every race (overall) and won your class.

    Winning your class at the AMA Nationals wouldn't make a difference because you can't get paid twice at the same race. But if you ran all the other Nationals and won your class at all those, that would be a sizeable chunk (another $1800 in addition). Of course there is a lot tougher competition there but...

    $1700 would be pretty good if you thought you could win it. That would probably buy a fresh set of tires for every race and a couple sets of bib mousse tubes at least.

    Seems a lot lower than the math I came up with at the beginning of the season. But it's not like any other manufacturer has contigency for USRA.
